2014 MEMBERSHIP CONFERENCE
“Collaboration in the Asia Pacific Century”
Monday–Tuesday, October 13–14, 2014
Jeju, Republic of Korea

OCLC's Asia Pacific Regional Council holds a membership conference each year in a different country or region in Asia Pacific. The sixth annual membership conference will be hosted by Jeju National University and will take place at the Jeju Grand Hotel, Jeju, Republic of Korea, on Monday and Tuesday, October 13–14, 2014. The theme for this conference is “Collaboration in the Asia Pacific Century.”

All interested librarians in Asia and the Pacific are welcome to attend the conference—even if your library is not currently an OCLC member. We are expecting more than 300 individuals from more than 15 countries and regions throughout Asia and the Pacific to attend this conference. This annual conference is beneficial for librarians from various cultures to exchange professional perspectives and to establish and renew friendships.

There is NO registration fee, however, attendees are responsible for their own travel expenses. The deadline to register has been extended to September 15, 2014. Please share this information with your colleagues.

More about the OCLC Asia Pacific Regional Council

The OCLC Asia Pacific Regional Council represents member libraries from the territory west of Hawaii, ranging from China, Korea and Japan in the north to Australia and New Zealand in the south, and Pakistan to the west. The Asia Pacific Council elects member librarians to the Asia Pacific Executive Committee, six of whom also serve as delegates to Global Council.

Asia Pacific Council meetings are open to all members and provide a forum to discuss issues that are important to libraries in the region. Members can also provide feedback to OCLC about its products, services, policies and operating direction through the Global Council.
