The XLVIII CLADEA Conference, hosted by FGV-EBAPE in Rio de Janeiro, will highlight recent trends and developments in the fields of business and public administration in Latin America and other emerging areas by bringing together business executives, government officials, and eminent scholars from different parts of the world, creating a scholarly forum for the discussion of these current issues.
Latin America has gained prominence as a destination for FDI and bilateral trade – particularly for North American firms with close ties to the region, as well as for European and Chinese firms. Political and economic historical events in Latin America have placed businesses and education institutions in a unique position to take on the current opportunities for Latin America in the current global context. Therefore, future developments in Latin America will depend on the linkages and interactions between businesses, universities, and government and nongovernmental institutions, and their ability to work together creatively in an open market economy.
