OCLC Global Council Meeting

Highlights from the April 16-18 OCLC Global Council Meeting in Dublin, Ohio, USA:

• Anne Prestamo, Associate Dean for Collection and Technology Services, Oklahoma State University, University Libraries, was elected Vice President/President-Elect of Global Council. Election results for the cooperative's three Regional Councils-Americas Regional Council; Europe, Middle East and Africa Regional Council; and Asia Pacific Regional Council-were also announced.

• Global Council delegates elected two librarians to serve on the OCLC Board of Trustees: Loretta Parham, CEO and Director of the Atlanta University Center Robert W. Woodruff Library, and Jennifer Younger, Executive Director, Catholic Research Resources Alliance. Each will serve a four-year term beginning with the next OCLC Board meeting in November.

• Delegates passed two resolutions, one honoring Jay Jordan, OCLC's President and CEO who is retiring June 30, and one advising the cooperative on steps to move to an Open Data Commons Attribution License (ODC-BY).
