Individual libraries or groups of libraries may subscribe to the QuestionPoint service.
Prices are based on unlimited annual subscriptions consisting of three elements:
- The Reference Management Platform
This includes a Base Management Environment and Service Unit Profiles. The Base Management Environment (BME) includes a chat queue, a local knowledge base, and tools to manage the Service Unit Profiles (SUPs) working within the Environment. Each library, institution, or discrete service point must have a Service Unit Profile to work within.
- The 24/7 Reference Cooperative (optional)
This around the clock live chat-based cooperative allows libraries to provide service to their users on the web 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The 24/7 Cooperative is an optional supplement built on the Reference Management Platform, with an associated cooperative coverage fee and staffing contribution requirement for libraries that wish to participate.
- Implementation and Training Services
A required service in the first year of the contract that provides training and project management assistance for new members. Additionally, training programs and custom training are available at a fee.
