How to make the most of OCLC partnerships
In many cases, your library will receive the benefits of OCLC partnerships without having to do anything at all. For example, if you subscribe to OCLC cataloging and discovery services, your resources will automatically be made visible in any new search engine or consumer site that utilizes the WorldCat Search API. There are things you can do, however, to leverage other partnerships that deliver greater value to your library.
If you’re not an OCLC member
You can make your library easier to find on the Web with the free Library Spotlight program. A single place for library location, hours of operation, service and collection information makes it easier for partners to help get people to your library.
If you’re currently an OCLC member
Get your electronic resources in front of your users more easily with the WorldCat knowledge base. If you already catalog with OCLC, you can add holdings information for your e-collections, making those materials easier to find, use and manage.

Surface your unique digital collections within our partners’ services with the WorldCat Digital Collection Gateway. It’s a free tool that lets you upload metadata about your collections into WorldCat, making it instantly discoverable in WorldCat.org, WorldCat Local and our partner sites.
Ask your other library service providers about how to get WorldCat data working within your current applications. If they partner with us, you may be able to get more value from both services just by “letting them know about each other.” The OCLC Member Services Team can help you understand how to get the most out of your OCLC membership and related partner services.

Goodreads loves libraries
Since 2007, OCLC has partnered with Goodreads, the world’s largest book-recommendation, review and discussion website, to generate greater visibility for public libraries. Goodreads already directs its users to WorldCat.org library listings as part of its Get a Copy utility, and allows any library to create its own group page on the site, where site users (and potential patrons) can participate in localized discussion and connect via social media. The site will soon allow library lookup directly using profile data from OCLC’s Library Spotlight program. And OCLC helps promote Goodreads Choice Awards, the only major book awards decided by readers, to its member libraries.
