Sarah Campbell

Sarah is the Associate Director at Portland Public Library, the oldest and largest public library system and the most visited cultural institution in Maine. She became the Associate Director in 2013, served as its Interim Executive Director for a sabbatical in 2012, and was the Department Head for Lending Services, Technical Services, and Systems starting in 2001. From 1997-2001, she was the founding Director of Library and Learning Resources at York County Technical College (Wells, ME), leading the library and it services from empty shelves to being a key component in the college's accreditation.

Before librarianship, Sarah had a career managing adult education and continuing professional education programs for the University of New England (Biddeford, ME), the Boston Center for Adult Education (Boston, MA), and IIR Seminar Centre (London, UK).

Sarah holds her Bachelor's degree in Psycholinguistics from Swarthmore College and her MLIS from the University of Michigan School of Information.
