Cheryl  King

Cheryl A. King is the Special Collections Librarian with responsibility for the Nita Barrow Collection at the Main Library, The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Barbados, since 2008. Prior to joining The University of the West Indies in 2005, she was instrumental in the establishment of a number of special libraries throughout the island and served as a Library Consultant to various non-governmental organizations there.
Cheryl holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Sociology and a PhD in History from The University of the West Indies, in addition to a Master’s degree in the Management of Libraries and Information Services from the University of Wales. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Archive Administration from the University of Aberystwyth.
