Annette Le Roux
Archivist, UNISA
Annette is an archivist working in the University of South Africa (Unisa) Library with a focus on digital access to information with special reference to African indigenous knowledge and cultural heritage.
She studied museum science, history, education and completed the International master in Digital Library Learning (MDILL) from the consortium of Oslo University College, Tallinn University and Parma University.
Before joining the University of South Africa, Annette, as the Curator, was involved in developing an open-air cultural museum depicting the historical background of a rural area in the northern part of South Africa.
She serves on the committee of the Association of South African Archivists (SASA) and previously she was part of the committee of the Association of Archivists and Manuscript Librarians (AMLIB). She also acted as occasional editor of the newsletter of AMLIB. She is on the organising committee of the high-level African Library summits (ALS).
