OCLC Canada Symposium at CLA
"Linked Data and Innovation in Canadian Libraries"
Wednesday, 29 May 2013 | 12h – 16h
Winnipeg Convention Centre
OCLC Canada will hold a symposium and luncheon during the Canadian Library Association Annual Conference and Trade Show. The symposium and luncheon are free and open to all.
This year’s symposium keynote speaker will be Richard Wallis, Technology Evangelist, OCLC. He will discuss how Linked Data is used, what it could lead to—and whether or not it truly represents a radical change.
We will also feature two presentations from innovative, award-winning institutions. OCLC Canada co-sponsors these awards with Congres des milieux documentaries (CMD) and CLA. The awards recognize cutting-edge initiatives in the library community. These presentations will be real-world examples to help spark ideas that attendees can take back to their library and implement.
Also, please visit OCLC Canada staff in Booth B43 for OCLC WorldShare, including WorldShare ILL, information and demonstrations.
