WorldCat Registry API Webinar Workshop

The WorldCat Registry API now has an RDF/XML Interface for discovering data about libraries.

This event has passed.

The WorldCat Registry API RDF Interface is a read service that promotes and facilitates the presence and discovery of individual libraries on the Web. The WorldCat Registry API  connects web applications to descriptions of over 100,000 member organizations, including names, addresses and services in the WorldCat Registry. Developers can use this data to populate home pages, display hours information, link to OPACs and more.

In this workshop, we reviewed the features and discuss some use cases. We also included a gentle introduction to RDF and then demonstrated how the RDF Interface works with a code walkthrough of a practical application.
