The fourth annual Asia Pacific Membership Conference took place in Kuala Lumpur at the National Library of Malaysia, on Monday and Tuesday, 3–4 September 2012. With 291 participants from 16 countries and territories (Australia, China, Fiji, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Myanmar, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States), attendees heard reports from library leaders in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. They also toured the National Library of Malaysia.

Constance Malpas, Program Officer, OCLC Research, delivered a keynote speech on "The Changing Collections Context: Trends in Library Resource Management." Chris Thewlis, Regional Manager, OCLC Australia/New Zealand, and Andrea Schurr, Manager, OCLC WorldShare Platform Community, spoke on OCLC WorldShare Management Services. Jay Jordan delivered the OCLC President’s Report.
