Publishers around the world partner with OCLC to improve library workflows for electronic content

OCLC has finalized agreements with international content providers to add more electronic collections to WorldCat. Incorporating these databases into WorldCat and the WorldCat knowledge base will improve access to these collections and simplify administration for libraries that use OCLC WorldShare Metadata services. Primary Research Group publishes the Survey of College Plans for MOOCs

  • Close to 8 percent of colleges sampled say that they have felt pressure to adopt MOOCs and or to accept credit for courses from MOOCs of other institutions.
  • Close to half of the colleges in the sample believe that their institutions will likely be offering a MOOC within the next three years. More »

Registration now open for OCLC EMEA Regional Council Meeting

The program is set for the fifth annual OCLC Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Regional Council Meeting, the first to take place in Africa. The theme, "Library Community in Action: advancing knowledge, cooperation and innovation,” will address the importance of community—exploring how a cooperative approach can make a difference and what greater collaboration between libraries can really offer in the context of sharing and innovation. More »
