SISIS-Elektra
For information service providers, quick and easy acquisition and supply of high quality information is an essential prerequisite for their competitiveness. The global and heterogeneous information landscapes lack transparency for the end user. Different sources such as subject, standard and patent databases, library catalogues, news services and Internet databases must be queried and viewed sequentially. This leads to unnecessarily high investments in both time and costs for information retrieval and decreases possible success rates. Information portals based on SISIS-Elektra eliminate the disadvantages of different database interfaces and optimize information retrieval. They enable parallel querying in heterogeneous target databases on different protocols using a unified and concise user interface.
