| The OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) is an inter-governmental organisation of 30 member countries, originally formed in 1948 and containing countries from Western and Central Europe, North America, the Far-East and Australasia. Its primary purpose is to provide Members with a forum to research, debate and develop economic and social policy. As a direct result, the OECD is the independent publisher of more than 250 publications per annum, including a staggering 98 million statistics which have been verified and made comparable, making it one of the worlds's largest and most reliable sources of data. | |
