Training and Cancellation Policies

Confirmation

Participants will receive an automatic e-mail confirmation upon registering. Enrollment limits have been set for each session. In the event that minimum enrollment is not fulfilled, OCLC Eastern Service Center reserves the right to cancel that session. Once the enrollment maximum has been met, additional registrants will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified if space becomes available or if additional sessions have been scheduled.

Cancellation

Periodically, OCLC Eastern Service Center must cancel workshop sessions due to low enrollment, inclement weather, trainer illness, or an emergency situation. OCLC Eastern Service Center is now requesting both a work and home phone number when you complete the online form. This will allow us to contact you if OCLC Eastern is forced to cancel a workshop because of trainer illness or inclement weather.

If you need to cancel your registration for class, please let us know immediately. Early notification allows us to extend space to another member. We can also check for availability on the next available time your class is being offered.

If you cancel 3 days (less than 72 hours) before a scheduled class, we cannot refund your registration. If you cancel 14 days before a scheduled class, we will refund your registration, minus a $50 administrative fee. If you fail to attend a workshop, you will be charged the full workshop fee.

Low Enrollment

In the event of enrollment below the minimum for a particular workshop, a cancellation determination may be made as early as two weeks or as late as 48 hours prior to the session. If OCLC Eastern must cancel a workshop, we will credit your registration fees.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, the decision to cancel a workshop will be made, when feasible, by noon on the day prior to the session. All registrants will be notified. Cancellations due to last minute weather emergencies will be posted on OCLC Eastern's voice mail system by 7:00 a.m. on the day of the session. Staff will also make an effort to contact via email.

Your privacy

Emergencies happen. We ask that you provide a home or mobile phone number to use in the event a class has to be cancelled at the last minute. Please be assured that OCLC Eastern uses your personal information for the class only, and does not share this information for any other purpose. We strive to preserve your privacyhile ensuring you do not travel to a cancelled event.
