Local Holdings Maintenance Basics

Prerequisites 

Searching OCLC WorldCat (O101) or previous experience searching WorldCat using Connexion, as well as the ability to interpret basic components of the MARC tags and OCLC bibliographic records.

Course description

This hands-on half-day course will provide an overview of using Connexion Browser to create and update union listing information.  Local Holdings Maintenance Basics will provide you with the skills needed to retrieve serial records, search for local holdings records, edit local holdings records, delete local holdings records, and add local holdings records.

Online workshops use WebEx, an easy-to-use virtual meeting technology. Attendees will receive as part of their confirmation the necessary logon information, links to course materials and telephone number (used for the audio portion of training). This confirmation will be sent out prior to the workshop
