Course description

This full-day, hands-on course will introduce students to the new WorldCat Resource Sharing interface, previously ILL Web.  This interface, which is accessed through FirstSearch, is the replacement for Passport for ILL and ILL Web.

This course focuses on the basic procedures needed to manage an ILL request using the new interface.  Students will learn about accessing WorldCat Resource Sharing, customization options, searching and accessing records from OCLC's WorldCat bibliographic database, and producing and completing requests.  Students will work through an ILL request and learn how to create a borrowing request and to respond to a request as a lender.
