Course description

This full-day, hands-on workshop will introduce users to the OCLC Connexion client interface.  Students will work through the basic cataloging workflow.  The course will provide training on searching WorldCat, navigating search results, working with bibliographic records, and exporting and printing labels.

Perfect for

Staff members who do copy cataloging, as well as those who create original records in Connexion Client.

Why take this course?

The purpose of this course is to introduce the Connexion client interface and its basic functionality to current users or catalogers new to OCLC Cataloging.

What you will learn

The course will also show students how to customize Connexion client, including: saving authorizations and passwords; accessing OCLC system news; creating and applying constant data records; controling headings; creating or deriving bibliographic records; and using the online save file.
