I searched the "Notes" and then the "All Fields" indexes in WebDewey, but couldn't find a user note I created. Why not?

Subject 1 Search user notes
Subject 2 Federated search
DDC number

The user note feature in WebDewey lets you create, record, and display your own local practices in context in DDC schedule, Manual and table records (you can also create a general use note that is not associated to any DDC record). However, the "Notes" index in WebDewey does not refer to user notes, but instead to instructional notes present in Dewey schedule, Manual, and table records. Therefore, you should not expect to find your local user notes when you search either the "Notes" or "All Fields" index in WebDewey. Instead, select "User Notes" under the search menu list item or use the keystroke shortcut <Ctrl><Shift><[> to search user notes. (Use <Ctrl><Shift><]> to search Abridged WebDewey user notes).

We have included your request to offer an integrated index that includes both the DDC database and your user notes database on our list of potential enhancements to WebDewey.
