How can I get to Manual records in WebDewey?

There are a number of ways to find Manual records in WebDewey. Broadly speaking, you can seek them out or come across them serendipitously. In the latter case, you can link directly to Manual records from schedule and table records that contain references to Manual entries. The same is true when you're browsing the Relative Index. On the other hand, the best way to find known Manual records is to search for them. To search for known Manual records, you can search on the note's number, caption, or even full text. Remember that data in the Manual record is indexed in the Notes index; therefore, you may want to consider this index to narrow a search query. For example, to find the Manual note, 333.7-333.9 vs. 363.1, 363.73, 577 (Social aspects of ecology), you might decide to search "monitoring biodiversity" in the Notes index.  (Manual notes are preceded by an M in search results lists). You could also search the Dewey Numbers index for "363.1." Finally, you may prefer to search the Captions index for "social aspects."
