MapFAST
Developer-level access to FAST Subject headings based on geographic coordinates. The Faceted Application of Subject Terminology (FAST) schema reworks LCSH's authority rules so that they are easier to use, understand, and apply. The result is a schema designed to handle a large volume of materials with less effort and cost.
Status: Experimental
Provides search access to FAST Geographic and Event subject headings based on proximity of those headings to a given set of coordinates.
For example, the MapFAST web service could be used to retrieve a list FAST subject headings near the coordinates: latitude longitude.
What you get
FAST Geographic and event subject headings near by the provide coordinates. Metadata about the heading including name, coordinates and type of feature.
