ItemOptionalFields

NCIP allows developers to request specific fields as part of the NCIP response using the ItemElementType element. This element takes the following values

ItemOption Element in the NCIP Response has the following potential structure

BibliographicDescriptionBibliographic information about the item.
BibliographicDescription/AuthorThe author of the item.
BibliographicDescription/BibliographicRecordId / BibliographicRecordIdentifierThe OCLC # of the item. This is the bare number, i.e. without prefix (e.g. “ocm” or “ocn”) and without padding (leading zeroes).
BibliographicDescription/BibliographicRecordId / BibliographicRecordIdentifierCode / SchemeMust be the NCIP Bibliographic Record Identifier Code Scheme URI (see Section 10 of this profile).
BibliographicDescription/BibliographicRecordId / BibliographicRecordIdentifierCodeMust be the literal text “OCLC”.
BibliographicDescription/EditionThe edition of the item.
BibliographicDescription/Language / SchemeMust be the NCIP Language Scheme URI (see Section 10 of this profile).
BibliographicDescription/LanguageThe ISO-639-2 language code of the item.
BibliographicDescription/MediumType / SchemeMust be the URI of the OCLC Material Format Scheme (see Section 10 of this profile).
BibliographicDescription/MediumTypeThe material format of the item.
BibliographicDescription/PublicationDateThe year of publication of the item.
BibliographicDescription/PublisherThe publisher of the item.
BibliographicDescription/TitleThe title of the item.
CirculationStatus / SchemeMust be the NCIP Circulation Status Scheme URI (see Section 10 of this profile).
CirculationStatusThe current circulation status.
HoldQueueLengthThe length of the hold queue for the associated bibliographic record.
ItemDescriptionInformation about the circulation item.
ItemDescription/BibliographicDescriptionBibliographic information about the item associated with the bill - See Bibliographic Description fields above
ItemDescription/DateCheckedOutThe date/time that the item was checked out.
ItemDescription/DateDueThe date/time that the item was due to be returned.
ItemDescription/DateRenewedThe date/time that the item was last renewed.
ItemId / AgencyIdThe OCLC registry ID of the institution that owns the item.
ItemId / ItemIdentifierValueThe barcode of the item associated with the bill.
ItemUseRestrictionTypeAny item use restrictions for the item (Repeatable).
LocationThe permanent (and temporary if applicable) locations for the item (Repeatable).
Location / LocationType / SchemeMust be the NCIP Location Type Scheme URI
