eContent Synchronization Order

The OCLC eContent Synchronization program will increase visibility and access to your scanned content and your print collection without increasing your cataloging work load or costs. The program is an efficient way to catalog all of the content which your library organization is scanning through a mass digitization program or cooperative digitization project. We will create a record representing the digital copy held by your digitization partner (e.g. Google Book Search) and your print copy (if not already in WorldCat). The records will contain the appropriate holdings and links to the appropriate digital copy.

Notification

When a file of MARC records is successfully swept from the OCLC EDX Account into the production area, a notification to verify successful transfer will automatically be e-mailed to the Primary Institution Contact's e-mail address. If someone else should receive this notification, please change the e-mail address below. Also, feel free to add additional e-mail addresses by clicking on the button. One e-mail address is mandatory.

Reports

Every time a file of records completes processing a number is assigned and a post-processing summary will be automatically e-mailed to the Primary Institution Contact's e-mail address. Library Identifiers

To set more than one institution's holding symbol with a file of records, the records need to contain a Library Identifier. OCLC uses that Library Identifier to set a corresponding OCLC institution symbol in WorldCat. Please tell us where the Library Identifier can be found in the records being submitted:

Non-Matching Records

OCLC will evaluate all* non-matching records for possible addition to WorldCat, unless otherwise indicated below.

*Please note: Non-matching record from some projects, such as Cancel Holdings, off-line return of OCLC derived, or projects where the library is requesting output in order to "upgrade" minimal records with OCLC MARC records, will not be evaluated for adds processing.
