As many of you are tying up all of those loose ends and preparing to tackle 2009 with renewed dedication, we at OCLC Eastern would like to take a moment to celebrate these action-packed 12 months. It has been a tremendous—and tremendously busy year, and we’re so very grateful for your support and participation in the many activities we presented, sponsored and delivered to our members.
Quality programming and networking through special events.
This past year we collaborated with our colleagues at the Special Libraries Association (SLA), Association of Research Libraries (ARL), and Federal Library and Information Center Committee (FLICC), to bring new programs to our collective members. In February, we presented Planning for Results: Making Data Work for You, which provided several perspectives on library assessment. Then in April, The Art of Strategic Persuasion provided guidance and instruction on the art of public speaking and presentation.
