New Dutch and French vendors contributing records to WorldCat
OCLC is now also adding records from both Erasmus Boekhandel and Librairie Erasmus to WorldCat. This brings the total number of vendors in the Vendor Record Contribution Program to thirty, including suppliers from France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain and United Kingdom.
Once vendors are adding their records, they can participate in the WorldCat Selection service, which allows selectors of new materials in libraries to view notification records from multiple materials vendors in one central comprehensive system. For those libraries that do cataloguing in WorldCat, with WorldCat Selection, it's easier to get WorldCat records for newly selected materials into their integrated library system early in the technical services process.
