I'm working on a book of scrapbooking ideas and wondered what number would be appropriate.

Scrapbooking today uses various arts and crafts to create an artfully arranged collection of memorabilia in many formats, including but not limited to photographs, with writing that can range from photograph captions to essays and poems, involving calligraphy and rhetoric. The best comprehensive number for scrapbooking is 745.593 (Handicrafts-Useful objects). The Library of Congress subject heading "Scrapbook journaling," which refers to the writing part of scrapbooking, has been editorially mapped to this DDC number, available on Weekly List 32 on the Dewey web site at http://www.oclc.org/dewey/updates/numbers/.

However, if a scrapbook contains only photographs, it would be better classed with collections of photographs at 779 Photographs
