OCLC B.V. provides a rich package of benefits designed to foster the well-being of our employees and their families. Some of these benefits include:

  • Contract
  • The standard contract is for 40 hours per week. Of these 40 hours, 38 are paid and the remainder is translated in 12 extra vacation days a year (called ATV). The contract automatically ends when the employee reaches the age of 65.

  • Part-time
  • Working part time is in most cases a possibility at OCLC B.V.

  • Holidays
  • OCLC B.V. observes eight paid holidays per year.

  • Vacation
  • OCLC B.V. offers 26 paid vacation days per year. In addition, from 40-44 years old, you get an extra paid vacation day per year, from 45-49 years old 2 days per year, from 50-54 years old 3 days, from 55-59 years old 4 days and from 60-65 years old 5 extra days (based on a full-time contract).

  • Vacation payments
  • In May, employees are paid 8% of their annual salary as “vacation payments”.

  • Saving money or vacation (tax-free)
  • Employees of OCLC B.V. are able to save a fixed amount per month of their gross salary, which OCLC B.V. puts in a special savings plan (spaarloon), tax-free. Instead of saving money it is also possible to save vacation days. Employees can save a fixed percentage of their gross salary in a special arrangement (levensloop), that later on they can use for example for early retirement, unpaid leave or parental leave.

  • Medical plan options
  • A complete, competitively priced medical plan is available on the first day of employment to all employees and their families: a 9% discount on the basic health package, 7,5 % on all additional packages.

  • Retirement programs
  • OCLC offers a very complete retirement package at Zwitserleven, for which payments are totally taken care of by OCLC B.V..

  • Educational assistance
  • Tuition costs are totally reimbursed, if the study is required for job purpose/business needs. Payment arrangements for other related studies are possible.

  • Commute costs
  • For employees working 3 or more days a week, while living more than 10 km. from work (one way), public transport is totally reimbursed by OCLC B.V., while employees using their car get a financial contribution in accordance with the distance from work and within the tax allowances.

  • Bicycle plan
  • It is possible to buy a bicycle with financial “net” reimbursement up to € 999,- (€ 749,- max for the bicycle, € 250,- max for accessories such as insurance), monthly repayments are deducted from the “gross” salary. Also, this arrangement means that VAT is not paid by the employee. The employee is obliged to issue proof that he lives less than 10 km from work and that he actually uses the bicycle for his transportation to- and from work.

  • Sick leave
  • During illness, in the first year, sick leave is fully paid by OCLC B.V.. The second year of sick leave, 70% of the last salary is paid. After that the employee normally gets paid state disability funds for the percentage he is disabled. For compensation he can get an extra amount from the disability-insurance, which applies for all employees. If the employee is still 100% disabled after 2 year, all disability-payments are taken care of by a governmental institution.

  • Short-term and long-term disability

  • Domestic Moving & Living Assignments
  • OCLC B.V. will reimburse moving costs (only when this move is initiated by the company).

  • Anniversaries
  • After working for OCLC B.V. for 10 whole years, every employee gets an additional half month salary (gross) extra. At his/her 25th anniversary at OCLC B.V., every employee gets an additional month salary (net).

  • Lunch
  • On the 5th floor of its office building OCLC provides luncheon facilities.
