Microfilming: Microfilm storage

The OCLC Preservation Service Center in Bethlehem, PA, provides secure and environmentally optimized storage in a custom-designed microfilm vault. No other facility in the United States is known to exist solely for storing print masters.

The environmentally controlled vault maintains a temperature of 65° F and a relative humidity of 35 percent. The vault is also equipped with a HEPA filtration system and a pre-active dry pipe sprinkler system. We currently store over 140,000 reels of film and 38,000 microfiche for nearly 100 clients.

All microfilming, processing, inspection, duplication, packaging and storage services provided by OCLC Preservation Service Centers strictly adhere to preservation guidelines.

OCLC Preservation Service Centers can fulfill requests for copies and interlibrary loan of stored print masters.
