Archived content is available—and your users can still have access to specific database archives through FirstSearch.

Scholarly archives at the ready

Leverage your library’s investment in electronic research by linking to special archived content. Users don’t even have to leave the FirstSearch interface. Archives include:

  • Electronic Collections Online Archive-only access to eJournals from past subscriptions to this service is available to libraries that maintain an annual subscription to the archive.
  • JSTOR Once you enable this link, users can access your JSTOR content through FirstSearch. JSTOR maintains an archive of scholarly journals licensed by many academic libraries around the world. JSTOR’s five collections (Arts & Sciences I, Arts & Sciences II, Business, Ecology & Botany and General Science) are considered an excellent complement to ECO.

Access your own digital archive, too

FirstSearch can also connect to a digital archive your library creates and stores using the OCLC Digital Archive. Your users will be able to search for and find digital content, even after the original source material—such as web site articles—has long since disappeared.
