OCLC Canada and Consortia Canada partner to offer LexisNexis

OCLC Canada and Consortia Canada are pleased to announce their partnership to make LexisNexis available to their members.

LexisNexis helps knowledge-driven organizations achieve new levels of excellence by delivering comprehensive and authoritative legal, business, government and tax information worldwide. Comprising a total of 15 separate databases, the LexisNexis collection features its flagship service, LexisNexis Academic, which provides full-text documents from over 5,600 news, business, legal, medical, and reference publications.

Member institutions have the choice of subscribing to the entire LexisNexis collection or to the individual database of their choice, and all subscriptions will begin on January 1, 2007.

Pricing for the collection is two-tiered:

1. The price for LexisNexis Academic is determined by the total number of FTE for all institutions that subscribe between now and December 22. The final price will be made available on the 22nd.
   
   In order to lock in your pricing for calendar year '07, we strongly encourage you to make your commitment or place your orders to your respective consortium before December 22.
   
2. All other LexisNexis databases will receive the standard OCLC Canada discount.
