Batch Processing

OCLC batch processing is an efficient way to update, add or cancel large numbers of records or holdings offline. It supports resource sharing activities for libraries, consortia and bibliographic networks.

Each year, libraries use batch processing to set their OCLC holdings on millions of items and to add hundreds of thousands of unique, original records. Learn more about the features and benefits of batch processing.

Implementing WorldCat Local or WorldCat Navigator?

Batch Processing services give you the ability to match, merge, format and synchronize OCLC Control Numbers between your local system and WorldCat. Initial synchronization and ongoing maintenance of OCLC Control Numbers within your local system is necessary when implementing and using WorldCat Local and WorldCat Navigator.
