CONTENTdm "quick start"

Provided at no additional charge to Amlib and VDX users and Te Puna members, CONTENTdm "quick start" is the first step toward building your library's digital collections and making them available on the Web, quickly and easily. This hosted version of the CONTENTdm software supports efforts to increase access to the digital content that your library provides.

VDX benefits groups that need greater local control of resource sharing with tight integration to disparate local library systems. It builds on the foundation of OCLC's existing services for groups that include cataloging, resource sharing, reference and digitization services. It also expands the benefits of OCLC group catalogs by fully automating the requesting and supply of books and journal articles.

Intelligent, automatic request routing matches requests to libraries' preferred suppliers, selecting alternatives based on material availability. The result: reduced interlibrary loan turnaround times due to automation of the ILL management process, plus Web visibility of group collections and services through OCLC's WorldCat.org.
