OCLC has retired the WorldCat Link Manager service

OCLC support for OpenURL resolution and related electronic resource management needs is provided through the following services:

OCLC WorldShare License Manager

WorldShare License Manager consolidates link resolution, subscriptions, access, licenses, and vendor and rights management to enable Webscale management, discovery and delivery of licensed and electronic resources. Built on the WorldCat knowledge base, the service combines OpenURL resolution and full-featured license and subscription management in a single service.

The service includes a globally-maintained vendor information center and templates for global management of public and shared licensing terms. As a result, License Manager eliminates the need for staff to devise work-arounds to connect different systems and for users to consult multiple interfaces to get the information they need.

OpenURL resolution in WorldCat Local

OpenURL resolution included in the WorldCat Local service to help information seekers more quickly and easily link to library resources from search results. Inclusion of this functionality in WorldCat Local saves staff time because all holdings information can be maintained in a single location. This enables consolidation of identification and access to library resources within a single interface.

OpenURL resolution, including an A to Z list, is included in existing WorldCat Local subscriptions at no additional charge.
