Electronic Collections Online : 概觀 : Access accounts
Access accountsWhat is your access account? When your library subscribes to Electronic Collections Online, OCLC establishes an access account on your behalf. This account lets your users view the full text of articles from your subscribed journals. In addition, you can view article citations for all of the journals available through the service. How it worksTo view abstracts and articles, your library must subscribe to journals, either directly with publishers, through publisher subscription agents, or through the OCLC Journal Licensing Program. As you do, OCLC authorizes your users to view the full text of articles and abstracts. For each journal you subscribe to, OCLC maintains the subscription start and end date. OCLC maintains your subscription profile and links it to your access account. Access around the clockYour access account gives library users the ability to search Electronic Collections Online via the FirstSearch Web interface 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They can also read articles over the Web using a standard Web browser and Adobe's Acrobat Reader. Access that lastsAs long as you maintain your access account, your users will be able to view abstracts and the full text of articles for all journals in your collection, including archival material. OCLC even retains your account's subscription profile information for five years after you cancel it.
