WorldCat 资源共享 : Features : Sharing for groups, consortia and GACs
Sharing tailor-made for library groupsLibrary groups and consortia can achieve efficient, cost-effective pooling of collections with WorldCat Resource Sharing. Setup is simple, especially if participants are already OCLC member institutions. Libraries in the group easily contribute their holdings to WorldCat, and users can still see the holdings of libraries that haven't. And through FirstSearch, users are always directed to local and group-owned materials first. Then they can use a "display holdings" option to find items in the broader WorldCat universe. WorldCat Resource Sharing can be part of a custom solution provided by OCLC Group Services, featuring a group catalog that provides a single, unified view of the group's collection. Hosted by OCLC and contained within WorldCat, the group catalog includes unlimited use of resource sharing and cataloging, plus a customized FirstSearch interface. The solution for GACsGroup Access Capability (GAC) organizations, ad hoc associations of libraries united by subject matter, geography or another attribute, can also use WorldCat Resource Sharing. All members have access to each other's bibliographic, locations and summary holdings records.
