OCLC’s one stop shop for title order information goes international
Developed in association with Cornell University Library, WorldCat Selection allows selectors of new materials at your library to view notification records from multiple material vendors in one central comprehensive system.
It works by profiling with the materials vendors who are partnering with us to determine the notification items you want to receive. Vendors then inform OCLC of notification items for your library based on the frequency you determine. OCLC loads the items for your library into WorldCat Selection and selectors log into it to view the items for their collection areas, viewing records from multiple vendors in one system. Selectors can then take action to select, reject, forward or defer the notification. Records that are selected can be exported and then loaded into the library’s ILS.
