Partners link with Electronic Collections Online

OCLC partner services BTJ and CSA now use inbound linking to deliver Electronic Collections Online content to their users.

CSA

Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA) was the first alternative service provider to implement links from 33 databases that it produces and hosts to full-image articles in Electronic Collections Online journals. To take advantage of inbound linking, libraries must subscribe to one or more of the CSA databases and the Electronic Collections Online journals to which they are linked.

BTJ

Bibliotekstjänst AB (BTJ), a Scandinavian information and media company whose database now includes approximately 20,000 international journal titles, now provides a direct link from its PrenNet web service to full-text, full-image articles in the Electronic Collections Online service.

BTJ users can easily click on “Current Issue” and access full-text articles from the journals they subscribe to. Once a customer has been linked to Electronic Collections Online it is possible to search the entire database and use the per article use purchase option for journals not subscribed to.
