Ordering through subscription agents

OCLC works with subscription agents to provide libraries with centralized purchasing of Electronic Collections Online journal titles. In this partnership, OCLC aggregates, stores and provides online access to journal content while subscription agents provide support for online journals as they have traditionally supported print journals. Libraries subscribing to Electronic Collections Online benefit from this partnership through (1) centralized purchasing for journals available through the service; (2) ongoing support for acquisitions and collection management; and (3) integrated purchasing procedures for electronic and paper journals.
