Recent enhancements to Connexion client
Expert Community Experiment
(Completed: February 2009)
- The Expert Community Experiment allows cataloging members with full level authorizations to make additions and changes in almost all fields to almost all bibliographic records in WorldCat. PCC records, which include CONSER records, are excluded. LC records that are non-PCC records are included. See the Expert Community Experiment Web site for more information.
Non-Latin scripts in name authority records
(Completed: July 2008)
- Connexion client 2.10 supports the addition of references with non-Latin characters to name authority records in the LC/NACO Authority File. As announced by the Library of Congress, the use of non-Latin scripts is limited to those scripts that are represented in the MARC-8 repertoire (Japanese, Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Persian, Hebrew, Yiddish, Cyrillic, and Greek).
