Tips

Downloading or generating a list lets you save on your computer a file containing a title list. You may need to wait a few minutes to receive the list, depending on the size of the list and the speed of your connection.

The following procedures are provided below:

To download a list for all databases

  1. Click on All titles for a list of titles whether or not their full-text articles are available in FirstSearch.
Or, click on Full text titles only for a list of titles for which full-text articles are available in FirstSearch.
  2. Save the file when prompted by your browser software.
  3. Unzip the file. (If you do not have a utility to unzip files, consider purchasing WinZip or a similar decompression utility. Other utilities can be found at sites such as download.com)
  4. Use the information in the file to meet the needs of your library.
  5. In the file, information for each title is included on a separate line. In each line, fields--such as Title and ISSN--are separated by semicolons (;) and text is enclosed in double quotation marks (""). Treat all fields as text--not as dates or numbers.
