Promotional materials

OCLC provides sample press releases and other materials, including printable posters and brochures, to help you announce and promote FirstSearch to your users. They are available on the Promoting FirstSearch Web site.

Instructional materials

OCLC provides materials you can use to teach your staff and library patrons how to use FirstSearch. They are available at the Teaching FirstSearch Web site. The site includes links to handouts, tutorials, and practice databases.

Practice databases

If you have per-search databases, you can practice and prepare bibliographic instruction materials using practice databases, which are also available from the Teaching FirstSearch Web site. The practice databases are in a free account and are subsets of several FirstSearch databases.

If you have subscription databases, you can practice and prepare instructional materials at no additional cost using the subscription databases in your own account.
