University of Delaware Library joins OCLC WorldShare community

The University of Delaware Library has selected OCLC WorldShare Management Services as its Web-based cooperative library management system for metadata management, acquisitions, circulation, discovery, license management and workflow improvements. The University of Delaware Library is the first member of the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) to join the OCLC WorldShare Management Services community.

Article Exchange integrated into the WorldCat Resource Sharing service

Following a successful five-month trial, the Article Exchange feature is now available within the WorldCat Resource Sharing service and, where available, through an ILLiad add-on. This new feature is available at no charge to OCLC libraries that use WorldCat Resource Sharing and ILLiad Resource Sharing Management Software, and will be offered in WorldCat Navigator, in regions where available, and VDX later this year.

Titia van der Werf named Senior Program Officer, OCLC Research

OCLC Research is pleased to announce the appointment of Titia van der Werf as Senior Program Officer, based in OCLC’s Leiden office, where she will coordinate and extend OCLC Research work throughout Europe and will have special responsibilities for interactions with the OCLC Research Library Partners there. Ms.van der Werf will represent OCLC in European and international library and cultural heritage venues. Her appointment is effective January 1, 2012.
