Group purpose

The Iowa OCLC Users Group was formed to enhance the use of OCLC by libraries
and educational institutions in the state of Iowa.
The group endeavors:

  1. To serve as a means of input from the Iowa users of OCLC into vendor networks
    (currently BCR) serving Iowa and the OCLC programs supported by the State Library
    of Iowa
  2. To ensure participation by the Iowa users of OCLC in planning and implementing
    programs connected with OCLC in Iowa
  3. To serve as a vehicle for communication concerning OCLC among the Iowa users
    of OCLC, the OCLC Members Council, BCR and the State Library of Iowa

Notes The Iowa OCLC Users Group Listserv provides a forum for discussion among Iowa
libraries of issues related to the use of OCLC. The Iowa OCLC Users Group will
also use the list to distribute information related to the activities of the Group
including announcements of conferences, solicitations for candidates for office
and election results. To join, send a message to majordomo@bcr.org.
