New benefits for OLIB customers
OLIB customers have recently been contacted to inform them of two major new developments that will significantly enhance service provision and also assist in a library's ongoing effort to streamline processes.
OLIB Web
With the arrival of OLIB Web we can now provide a completely hosted solution, removing any requirement for you to maintain software at your site.
OLIB Web provides all the staff management functionality, currently available to its client-based staff interface, across the internet. There is no client software to be installed on library PCs, staff can just click on the browser in any location at any time.

CONTENTdm Quick Start
Also, from 1 July 2009, by virtue of being an OLIB customer we are giving access to CONTENTdm for digital collection building at no additional charge to your library. This entry-level, hosted version of CONTENTdm® will support efforts to increase access to any digital content your library provides. And, because it is hosted it has little or no overhead in terms of implementation and usage.

No matter the format—local history archives, newspapers, books, maps, slide libraries or audio/video—CONTENTdm can handle the storage, management and delivery of your collections to users across the Web.
