I often consult the Introduction in DDC21 when classifying a difficult item, but I cannot find the Introduction in WebDewey.  Does it exist?

Yes, the Introduction is located in Help.  Navigate to Connexion's Help button (located on the top, black horizontal tool bar).  Because Help is context-sensitive, precise directions to navigate to the Introduction depend on where you are in Dewey Services (WebDewey) when you seek Help.  Therefore, there are more than a few ways to get to the Introduction.  However, the Introduction is generally only three clicks away from anywhere in WebDewey (or Abridged WebDewey).

For example, if you click on Help from anywhere within Dewey Services, you should find the "WebDewey Overview," located under the Related Links section at the bottom of the context-sensitive Help record.  The "WebDewey Overview" (and/or "Abridged WebDewey Overview") contains the hotlinked "Dewey Decimal Classification Introduction and Glossary."  After clicking this link, select "Introduction" and voila, you're located at the Introduction to the Dewey Decimal Classification, which is identical at present to the print version of the Introduction in DDC21.  (Similarly, for Abridged WebDewey, the linked "Abridged Dewey Decimal Classification Introduction and Glossary" navigates you to "Introduction to the Dewey Decimal Classification," which is identical at present to the print version of the Introduction in Abridged 13.)

You may also get to the Introduction by entering "Introduction" in the Help search box which leads directly to the "WebDewey Overview"/"Abridged WebDewey Overview" where you can select the hotlinked "Dewey Decimal Classification Introduction and Glossary"/"Abridged Dewey Decimal Classification Introduction and Glossary" and then the "Introduction."
