I am cataloging a book about artists in Cornwall and their paintings. It deals principally with the lives of the painters, although a few of their works are shown and discussed very briefly. Does the prohibition on using T1--092 with certain numbers include subdivisions of --092 as well? I have always assumed that in 759 you would not add either for individual painters or for collected biography. Is that correct?

Normally, the prohibition on using T1--092 also applies to T1--0922 and the other subdivisions of T1--092. However, at 759.01-759.07 and 759.1-759.9 the prohibition is limited to individual painters. Thus, a book on the painters of Cornwall that focuses on their lives would be classed in 759.2370922.
